For the DJV Berlin, I held a seminar in June 2023 on the topic of “Solving Conflicts, Getting into Contact. Disputes often result from reactions of others that we cannot understand. Often their cause is also past hurts that we do not know (and certainly cannot heal). Clear communication helps to resolve conflicts early, to set boundaries and to clarify sensitivities.
Nonviolent communication is a suitable method, developed by the US psychologist Marshal B. Rosenberg, which the participants were able to try out for themselves in practical exercises.
